How it plays
Muster
Hire from sixteen classes, each with its own ability and a toolkit you tune in the War Tent. Mentors in your Hall teach apprentices new hybrid classes.
March
Choose your road across a branching map: battles, taverns, academies, royal courts and tiles your scouts can't read. Every run is a fresh road.
Fight
Place your company on the hexes, then watch. Battles play out on their own. Your work is the company you bring to them, and where you stand it.

Commanders who grow
Pick a commander, learn their skills run after run, and spend what's left on Renown that opens your next campaign with a gift.
Covenants
Pacts that bend the rules of a whole run: hold the line and never advance, march as four heroes, or let an eagle carry you straight to the keep.
A town that remembers
Your company has a home. It prospers or declines with how your runs end, and a prosperous town sends you better recruits.
Terrain that matters
Ridges block arrows, shrines bless whoever starts on them, forests hide ambushes. Scouting tells you more the better it gets.
Hardcore, if you insist
One company, one life. The Hall remembers the fallen either way.
No strings

Playtest
